FAQ
Greenland eSIM questions
Which networks does the Greenland eSIM use?
The Greenland plans connect to TELE Greenland. Your eSIM is a data-only plan, so you keep your home number on your regular SIM.
Is there 5G in Greenland with this eSIM?
No 5G operator is listed for Greenland at the moment. These plans run on 4G LTE.
Is there a day-pass plan for Greenland?
Yes. 1 GB/day from $67.90, 2 GB/day from $147.90. Choose 7, 15 days. After the daily allowance the speed is reduced until the next day.
Does the Greenland eSIM work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, on phones that support eSIM: iPhone XS or later, Pixel 3 or later, Galaxy S20 or later and most recent unlocked Android phones. Check your model on our eSIM compatibility page.
How fast will I get the QR code?
Usually within a few minutes of payment, by email. You can buy now and activate within 180 days.
Does it include calls and SMS?
No. All plans are data only, with no phone number. Use WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime or other apps over the data connection.
Can I keep my home SIM active?
Yes. The eSIM is a second line, so your regular SIM stays active for calls and SMS.
What happens when my data runs out?
On some Greenland plans only. Plans that allow it are marked at checkout.
Can I use my phone as a hotspot?
Hotspot works on most plans.
What is the refund policy?
Never installed: full refund within 180 days. Installed but never activated: full refund within 30 days. Activated with under 5% of the data used: credit. Technical failure or no coverage: full refund. More than 30% used or plan expired: not refundable. Details are on the refund page.
Can I buy now and use it later?
Yes. A plan you have not activated stays valid for 180 days after purchase.
